Maths in EYFS

We have been exploring the composition of numbers up to 5 through dice games, subitising how many objects are in a set before counting with accuracy. We have also explored shape, space and measures, with capacity investigations and great predictions about what could fit inside different containers - what a delight to find a giggling child inside a closed box!! Many children have also become experts at continuing and making repeating patterns.
