Sunflowers and prayers for Ukraine
Our EYFS children have all planted sunflower seeds at school. We have learned that sunflowers are the national flowers of Ukraine. Every child also chose a way to draw, collage or paint a sunflower, these have been displayed in the form of Ukraine's flag. This is a reminder in our classroom that we need to include those affected by the war in Ukraine in our daily prayers and thoughts. We love that each and every sunflower is different from the rest, just like the blossoming children in our class.
