Our First Whole School Assembly of the year
On the wettest start to the day imaginable, our whole school collective worship was postponed until 11am to allow children and staff time to arrive safely at school. Numbers were depleted, but the children’s enthusiasm certainly wasn’t.
We were so proud of each and every reception child who spoke with confidence and clarity about our school’s mission statement, To grow daily in God’s love, blossoming in His will. The children spoke about how they hope to grow and blossom in their first year in school. The gloomy day was certainly brightened by the action song, Mr Sunflower, which even our nursery children joined in with in front of the whole school.
