St Joseph's Roman CatholicPrimary School
To grow daily in God's love, blossoming in His will
This half term we are learning about the local church community and celebration.
The Jesuit Pupil Profile values we are focusing on are being Learned and Wise.
The children have been remembering what Baptism celebrations involve and the birth of Jesus, but are also enjoying other celebrations with families and home and parish families. Children have spoken about a range of celebrations they have been involved in and we are now learning about how the Chinese Lunar New Year is celebrated. They will be treated to a Chinese buffet at snack time and try using chopsticks. Mrs Bailey helped the children to create some fabulous Chinese dragon dances too!
The children visited our school chapel in small groups to look for common features of a Catholic Church. Their enthusiasm for this topic is wonderful to see.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
