To grow daily in God's love, blossoming in His will
Today was a truly magical day for our EYFS children and their behaviour throughout our trip made us feel incredibly proud. There was great excitement as pirates, fairies and princesses arrived at school. We had a great journey to Burnley with lots of discussion and lots of singing from our group of fairies and princesses towards the back of the bus. We were welcomed into “It’s my party” and were told we’d soon get an extra special welcome, soon after along came Captain Barnacle Blue. He led us into the magical kingdom on a special mission to wake up Fidget the fairy who was trapped in the castle. Our children worked their own magic and she was soon wide awake to join in the fun. There were creature hunts, pirate ship slides, ball pits, colouring, stories, crazy dancing, a banquet table and lots of fun games. Before we knew it, it was time for one last challenge, to find the key to open the treasure box that had stored Fidget’s magical wings for over a hundred years. Once we’d done that it was time to wave goodbye and return to school. A wonderful day which I think staff and children will remember for a long, long time!
