Bonfire apple making

It's trickier than it looks to cover a whole apple in chocolate, but the children did a great job!  They enjoyed observing how the solid chocolate melted when it was heated in the microwave, but found out that they had to work quickly to make sure the chocolate didn't cool down and turn solid again. They used their pencil "pincer grip" finger and thumb to pick up the sprinkles to put on. We were told they tasted delicious, but very few lasted until bonfire night!
