The arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost
Our children, like other classes, have been learning about how, 9 days after the ascension of Jesus into Heaven, his promise of sending a special helper in the form of the Holy Spirit was granted.
We have learned, how, just like the Holy Spirit, we cannot see the wind or air, but can feel it's presence amongst us. The children blew water colours through straws to create the flames of the Holy Spirit. Reception children wrote about the qualities that the Holy Spirit brings us such as peace, kindness, gentleness, patience, love, joy and faithfulness.
