Year 4 Assembly- Our Lenten Journey
Year 4 led the assembly telling us all about what happens during Our Lenten Journey.
There are 40 days in Lent.
Our journey begins on Ash Wednesday. We make our Lenten promises.
During Lent we Fast, Pray and Give to Charity. We ask our Guardian Angels to help us.
The Devil tempts us so we must stay strong!
On the 4th Sunday, Laetare Sunday, the Priest wears rose coloured vestments.
On the 6th Sunday, Palm Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. The crowd shouted 'Hosanna!'
Jesus died on the cross on Good Friday.
And then... the Resurrection on Easter Sunday!
