World Book Day

A huge thank you to all our parents for your efforts today in sending in the children in their snuggly PJs or a wonderful variety of costumes, showing a range of favourite book characters. Thank you also, for those who were able to join their children for a while sharing their favourite school books. Although there were a few tears as parents had to leave, we soon had a class full of of smiles as we joined the whole school for a parade around the playground in the sunshine. The children then told the class why their book was their favourite and have written a little bit about their books. The morning ended with a story swap, with our class and Miss Winnard’s class swapping children for the last half hour. Miss Winnard told me how delightful and well behaved they were! This afternoon, there will be bookmark making and lots more story fun.
