Welcome to Spring term 

In Year 1 and 2, we are growing every day 🌱 — in our learning, our friendships and our faith. As part of our Jesuit way of living, we encourage the children to grow to be kind, curious and reflective members of our classroom community.

Each day, we take time to pause, pray and think about how we can grow a little more — whether that’s trying our best with our work, helping a friend, or making good choices. We celebrate effort, resilience and kindness, and remind the children that growing doesn’t always mean getting things right straight away — it means learning and trying again.

Together, we are growing hearts, minds and smiles.

Communication is key, so if you need to speak to me about anything at all, I will be on the playground at the end of day (apart from Wednesday). Equally, you can send me a message via the e-mail stated above which I will aim to respond to within 48 hours. For more urgent responses, please contact the school office directly.

Our class values echo our school’s Jesuit Pupil Profile, as we grow to learn and live in the St Joseph’s family. We promote a love for reading and explore our half-termly themes with great enthusiasm.

Here we will post regular updates as we continue to grow and develop our faith in God’s love.

Key information

Please ensure your child has a water bottle to take to school every day! We are super active in year 1 and 2 and we need to stay hydrated.

PE will be on a Friday in year 1 and 2. Please ensure all children's uniform is labelled.
