To grow daily in God's love, blossoming in His will
After learning a little bit about those who have worked hard and continue to work hard to keep our country safe during Remembrance Day activities, it was the perfect time to welcome Major Keir into our class to talk about being a soldier in England and in different parts of the world. He explained that he must always wear his beret when out and about in his uniform, but then also showed us his protective helmet and body armour. Camouflage is important when soldiers are hiding from the enemy, so we tried a bit ourselves. Camping is a fun activity that many of us have experienced, but camping in dangerous places with food rations and waking up to find crocodiles on the beach and snakes in the ground were a little to scary for Mrs Geldard and Mrs Williams! However, lots of our children think they’d like to be a soldier when they are older.
A young cadet’s medal was given to Tristan for superb asking and answering of questions.
A huge thanks to Mr Keir for giving up his time for such a fun and informative afternoon for our children.
