Outdoor maths and phonics
We have made the most of some dry days this week to do lots of outdoor learning. The children made measuring sticks by counting out 10 cubes before going in search of objects which were longer, shorter or the same size as their measuring stick. The nursery children loved searching for objects beginning with different sounds while the reception children were challenged with the task of writing a list of objects beginning with those sounds.
