Learning about Autumn

As Summer has now ended for another year, the children are learning about seasonal changes as Autumn begins.

We went for a walk to see if there were any early signs of Autumn that we could see, hear, smell or touch! As leaves continue to change colour and conkers fall from the trees, children are beginning to bring these items to school to show their friends.

We have been learning that hedgehogs hibernate and that some birds migrate during Autumn so that they will be safe and warm during the winter months. The children have produced some fantastic paintings of birds migrating in the Autumn evenings and have explored colour mixing to make different colours for their Autumn leaves.
