Festive Frosty Fun

With a lot of time being spent getting ready for our Nativity next week, we haven’t taken as many pictures as usual, but there has still been lots of learning going on. The nativity has certainly helped children to remember the Christmas story with some excellent detail being included in their retelling of the story. The children have been writing Christmas lists and letters to Father Christmas. They have been exploring shape and pattern while making more decorations and have made seasonal trees for new year calendars. Counting snowflakes and tree decorations has kept number practise going, as has singing one of our favourite counting back songs- 5 little snowmen fat! There has also been lots of exciting role play as Santa and his elves have joined the house this week and the frost has prompted lots of ice skating outside. One more week to go in a very busy term! ☃️🎄❄️🧑🏼‍🎄🤶🏻
