The Foundation stage children have been sharing their favourite books with their class mates all week. Key stage 1 children were very excited to make their own book marks and take part in many other activities promoting their love of books. Morning break saw year 4 children proudly serving a delicious looking assortment of cakes to everyone. The day ended with a mass led by Fr Damien and Fr Adrian. Despite some very sleepy looking "animals", "Israelites" and "Egyptians", Fr Damien said he'd never hear such wonderful singing!
World Book day coincided with the annual Provincial Visitation, so our children came to school dressed as characters from bible stories. Mr Crabtree's children were characters from the story of David and Goliath, Mrs O'Connor's children were characters from the story of Elijah, Mrs Bailey's children were characters from the story of Moses and Mrs Geldard's children were animals from Noah's ark. The day started with an assembly led by year 3 and 4 acting out their story in a very confident and dramatic way.
