We're not sure how many more Fridays we'll be able to hold our outdoor whole school socially distanced assemblies, but the children do enjoy hearing different classes lead the worship and seeing who has received certificates and which house has gained the most house points.
Friday morning started off quite promising, but by 9.20 am it was becoming increasingly wet. However, the soggy weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the EYFS children as they were excited to show the school their paintings of what they are thankful for in their lives. With clear "outside voices" they were able to let everyone know how we do our reflective Jesuit Examen prayer in the early years. Maria then read a short piece of scripture from Genesis where Noah thanked God for ending the storm- this was quite appropriate as the rain was becoming heavier. The nursery children led the whole school in a prayer of thanks. Mrs Geldard was so proud of them all!
