Our key stage 1 children have been learning about parts of a plant and the functions of each part. Unfortunately we have been unable to continue to observe plants and trees as they grow and change throughout Spring, but I am hoping the children will be able to do that in their own local environment over the coming weeks- they have a tree identification sheet amongst their home learning materials.
The art work produced by the year 1 children is fantastic, they have used observational skills, learned how to blend pastels and created pictures using pressed petals and plant parts.
