Speaking in front of the whole school isn't easy at the best of times, but when you are only in your 3rd week in reception and it's very windy outside it's doubly difficult, but our "chicks" did a great job, with every child speaking clearly and confidently. We started off with everyone exercising to keep fit (and warm!) as part of the European day of sport. The children gave examples of sport and exercise that others could do, Beth read part of psalm 139 and Scarlett, Oliver and Lucy led the prayers. I was very proud of them all. There are pictures of the day's sport in the post below.
In addition this week the children have written captions for our Autumn display board, done Autumn leaf rubbings, practised accurate counting and number recognition, painted themselves for the birthday train, read books, written letters and explored the lava in the volcanoes and on the ground in the game, "the floor is lava!"
