Another school year has ended so it was time to say goodbye to our year 6 children and wish them every success in their new schools at St Augustine's, SMH, CRGS and Ribblesdale. They have been fantastic members of our school and great buddies to the reception children. We also said "Au Revoir" to Mrs Turner who has taught French in school for many years and led prayer and Rosary groups in addition to many many other voluntary roles in school.

Ice creams were the perfect way to cool down for our children and "animals" after a morning of partying and sport. Every child chose from the ice cream and lolly menu and queued very patiently and excitedly. Thank you to Purdy's ice creams, who even made a donation to school funds!
St Joseph's once again demonstrated that in addition to our academic, sporting and artistic talents, we continue to have many talented musicians and singers. Thank's to our ever supportive parents for coming along to watch.
Many thanks for the fantastic support we had from parents today. Thanks to the parents who baked and looked after the tea bar and thanks to parents and family who came to watch the children. It was lovely to see the children competing so well and not one having a tantrum because they didn't win. I feel very proud of that.
All our pupils took part in a sponsored run today to help St. Bernadette's House raise money for Mary's Meals. Each meal costs 15p and this can be the only some children will have in a day. Please support your children in collecting sponsor money.
We were very proud of the way our reception and keys stage 1 children behaved on our trip to Knowsley safari park today. It was a fantastic day and the animals were out enjoying the sunshine. Thankfully we returned to school with no extra monkeys on board! Thank's to all our adult helpers who helped to make the day a huge success.
We invited Skipping Workshops into school to work with each of our classes. The workshops were designed to teach as many children as possible to skip and then to teach them some skipping tricks and games. Skipping is an excellent way for children to keep fit and in the next term children will have opportunities to skip each day at school.
