It was with great sadness that we said goodbye to our year six pupils in an assembly led by that year group.

Our four houses battled over cricket and rounders in the last week of term. Final victors were St. Gabriel's.
Our reception and nursery children were excited to lead an assembly to say thank you for the new outdoor equipment which was bought with money raised by the friends of St Joseph's School at our Christmas fair.
Five children were awarded a World Cup Champion certificate. They all were champions in their chosen sports. William is a champion dribbler at his football, Rocco scores lots of goals for Wilpshire Wanderers. Pippa can parallel ski, Lilly is a champion dancer and Freddie needs great strength for his martial arts.
Children from the reception class were the first to gain their bronze awards for exercising each day.
Our runners shone at this competition held at St. Michael and St. John. Our Girl's Team were placed second in the small schools competition and Josephine was a fantastic first and was presented with a gold medal. The boys team was first in the small schools competition and Michael came third and received a bronze medal, Benedict was a great fourth place.
We all took a trip to the deep dark woods, we turned into mice and we all looked good..........4/7/2018 The infant and nursery children enjoyed a hot and sunny day in the great outdoors at Hothersall Lodge. There were Gruffalo story activities, nature walks, wild art, problem solving challenges and orienteering to keep us busy. We all returned home tired, but happy with a few smudged whiskers along the way.
The Foundation stage and key stage 1 classes celebrated Founder's day by focussing on the story of creation. The day began with Mrs Turner reading the story of creation in chapel. Children then worked in their houses making pictures to illustrate the days of creation. The fantastic weather then meant that snacks and lunch could be eaten outside.
On Friday, 29th June the managers from the building site came to talk to the children about safety around the building site. The foundation stage and key stage 1 children then went down to have a closer look at the builders at work.
Unusually our sports day went ahead at the first attempt due to the settled sunny weather. It was a very successful afternoon with all the children showing great sportsmanship by encouraging each other and taking defeats with good grace. The day was won by St. Bernadette's house with St. Michael's the runners up.
