It was lovely to welcome some new faces into the Foundation Stage class as part of moving up day, we look forward to them starting in our nursery and reception groups in September. The lunch time buddies did a great job of ensuring everyone was happy.

Our annual sports day was held on Monday 26th June. We were very lucky as the sun shone and so our day went ahead as planned.
The winning house was St. Michael and the runners up were St. Gabriel. St. Therese and St. Bernadette were great competitors .
What a perfect day! Cuddling animals large and small and eating ice-cream. KS1 children competed to identify flavours of ice-cream. The winners were Saskia, Grace and Marla-Joni, well done girls.
The Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 class had a fantastic day at Mrs Dowson's farm. The animals and the children all behaved themselves perfectly, and the ice-creams were delicious (if a little drippy!). More photographs from key stage 1 will be added soon.....
Year 5 and 6 went to Newlands Adventure Centre with Mr Crabtree, Mrs Bailey and Mrs Holgate. We had a fantastic time climbing, walking, canoeing and best of all ghyll scrambling. Grateful thanks to the staff at Newlands and all the parents who provided transport.
Fie pupils from St. Joseph's were selected to represent the Ribble Valley in the East Lancashire Cross Country championship. It was an extremely wet day and a tough course but they all performed well.
After the fantastic fund raising for CARITAS led by St. Bernadette's house, they were sent a certificate to reward their efforts.
Mrs O'Connor ran a house netball competition. All teams played well and it was very even so in the end she had to decide the winners by the house who had scored the most goals. The competition was won by st. Bernadette. Here are Therese and Bert receiving the trophy.
