Pupils throughout the school celebrated the life of the Patron Saint of England by dressing up as knights, princesses and dragons. Or by wearing red and white or England kits. It started out term off in a colourful manner.

On a blustery Tuesday morning the whole school went out on to the field to follow the stations of the cross. Year 5 and 6 children held the pictures and Mr Crabtree described each one and the event they show.
All the ks1, reception and nursery children made hot cross buns this morning and actually they were extremely careful and made delicious cakes.
Mrs Atkinson and her team of enthusiastic and creative gardeners worked really hard to ensure that all key stage 1 and reception children could take home an Easter garden using items they had collected and brought from home.
Back in October 2018 leading environmental scientists stated that if mankind does not change the way we live and our behaviour towards the environment the world will have been so damaged that we will not be able to repair the damage that has already been done by global warming, excessive use of plastics and so on. To draw attention to this ticking alarm and to highlight that 6 months has gone already with little behaviour change the whole of St. Joseph's School gathered on the playground and used instruments, bodies and voices to make noise.
