Gymnastics at St Augustine's

We haven't received any results yet from today's year 3/4 gymnastic competition, but as a teacher who has been coaching the gymnastics teams at St Joseph's school for 9 years I could not feel prouder. The children have improved week on week from the beginning of term and this afternoon every child performed brilliantly, really pushing themselves to be the best that they could be. Their behaviour throughout was outstanding and they were wonderful ambassadors for the school. In addition, it was lovely to see the spectator's area almost filled with St Joseph's family members. Jane Johnson, the School Games Partnership Manager praised the children for their skills and their behaviour and said she was amazed that a small school was able to enter 2 fantastic teams.
A huge well done to everyone!
After receiving the results from the competition, Jack was awarded the school gymnastics trophy for 2018 as he was the highest scoring gymnast from the teams this year. All gymnasts received certificates in Friday's assembly.
