12th-18th November was National Anti-bullying week. All classes took part in activities to focus on respect for others and how even though everyone is different to each other (even identical twins!), each one of us is special and should be treated with respect. Lots of us wore odd socks on Friday and made a donation to Children in Need. Take time to look at our washing line of odd socks in the school hall, with every child in the EYFS and KS1 classes highlighting what another person is good at or what they like about them.
The Foundation stage children led the school assembly, searching for similarities and differences between different children to highlight how every single person is special with qualities they may not know they have. Before singing If I were a butterfly, the children learned that butterflies cannot see colour so they never know how special they are.
