Today has been a day of farewells and reflections on many happy times at St Joseph's. Our morning assembly began with the year 5 and 6 children leading the farewell assembly for Mr Crabtree with a special rendition of 500 miles thoughtfully written by Mrs Orr!
We also said farewell to Will, Alfred and George then thanks to Sarah and Hannah for doing a fabulous job of chairing the Friends association for the past few years.
A farwell to Miss Siddle will soon result in a hello to her as Mrs Turner in September after a summer wedding celebration.
Farewell to Emilia O'Connor, who has multitasked her way through the school this year, always with a smile and energy, she will be wonderful osteopath in the future.
Farwell to our old school badge as Mattie's design has been completed.
Then it was upstairs to the chapel to say farewell to the fabulous year 6 children as they shared their recent memories with families, raising smiles and tears as they did so.
The day ended with staff wishing Mr Crabtree a very happy retirement, the I-pad ran out of battery charge and I think most of us are feeling the same.
We wish everyone a happy and successful future and a wonderful summer, thank you for all your support over the past year.
